Avonsleigh generates substantial organic material volume. A single storm event in the Ranges can produce a day's worth of chipping work from branches and bark strips shed off mountain ash and messmate. Routine maintenance (hedge trimming, dead-wooding, garden cleanups) produces consistent material flows on most blocks. On-site chipping and mulch application is the most practical disposal approach for Avonsleigh properties because access for green-waste skip bins is restricted on many of the narrower side streets and the material volume from a fully treed block makes off-site disposal expensive.
