Hedge species in Tecoma reflect the suburb's transition character: established photinia, viburnum, and murraya on the more suburban lower blocks; older conifer rows, Leyland cypress and Thuja, on larger uphill allotments where the planting was done decades ago to screen steeply elevated neighbouring properties.
